书法须入古,真正入古,才能接续先贤在书法的形而上层面的血脉和生机。要做到此,只有十分虔诚、反复、长期地研习、领悟古人的精神气质,一生如此修炼才有可能获得领悟。形式的专门研究,作为书法研究诸多方面中的一项有必要,但不必过分夸大。当下相当多书法研究偏重于此,有不少形式构成理论研究、教学及实验。但是,即使掌握了形式构成规律,在作品中多有变化,还是解决不了书法的品格、境界这些精神层面的根本问题,仅仅限于观众的视觉和心理上造成的感觉而已。精神信念不仅决定着书法的境界,而且也能生成、创化出意象、结构、形式与笔法。古今大家名作,我相信发自骨子里的精神信念、灵魂深处的渴
Calligraphy into the ancient, really into the ancient, in order to follow the sages in the metaphysical level of calligraphy blood and vitality.
