Objective To investigate the expression and significance of P53 and bcl-2 proteins in primary lung squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of P53 and bcl-2 protein in 66 cases of lung squamous cell carcinoma after 5 years of follow-up. Results The positive rates of P53 and bcl-2 in lung squamous cell carcinoma were 56.1% and 27.3%, respectively, and the positive rates of metastasis of lymph node metastasis in 21 patients were 61.9% and 28.6%, respectively. The positive expression of P53 and bcl-2 protein was significantly lower than that of negative expression (P<0.01). Conclusion The abnormal expression of P53 and bcl-2 protein is closely related to the biological behavior and follow-up survival of lung squamous cell carcinoma, and it can be used as an effective index to evaluate the prognosis.
