“86—1”是高抗枯萎病的棉花优良品种。为保持其原种纯度,防止退化,除了进行原种生产,搞好提纯复壮外,我们于1978年和1979年两次将当年生产的“86—1”原种800斤,存放于新建成的青海西宁中国农科院品种资源分库内,进行冷藏保存。1980年春将1978年冬冷藏的“86—1”种子203斤,分于河南新乡、安徽东至等地进行比较试验和扩大繁殖。结果表明,经低温存放后的棉花种子,在保持原种纯度、抗病性、丰产性方面具有良好效果。
“86-1” is an excellent cotton variety resistant to Fusarium wilt. In order to maintain the purity of its original species and prevent its degradation, apart from carrying out the production of original seeds and doing a good job of purification and rejuvenation, we deposited 800 kg of the “86-1” original seeds of that year twice in 1978 and 1979 in a newly-built Qinghai Xining Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences within the classification of resources, for storage. In the spring of 1980, 203 kilograms of “86-1” seeds frozen in the winter of 1978 were distributed in Xinxiang, Henan and East Anhui to carry out comparative experiments and expand breeding. The results showed that cotton seeds stored at low temperature had good effect in maintaining purity, disease resistance and high yield of the original species.
