敦煌写本《汉将王陵变》是晚唐五代时期《汉将王陵变》讲唱的写本,是对某一次特定的《汉将王陵变》讲唱的记录或抄写,也是对《汉将王陵变》讲唱传统的记录或抄写。它为探讨王陵故事在讲唱传统与书写传统之间发展演变的规律提供了可能,研究它的口承性及其与书写的互动,以及写本的文本属性,对认识敦煌讲唱文学写本的生成与文本形态以及拓展敦煌讲唱文学写本研究的视野,具有重要的学术价值。
