In order to confirm that the good effect of the butt joint for blasting work and the elimination of the residual welding stress are closely related, the Pushon Institute of Ukraine Ukrainian Academy of Sciences has studied the efficiency and mechanism of eliminating the residual stress of the steel butt joint by the blast load method. One of the best ways to improve the properties of a welded joint is to use a high-capacity, high-power explosion method that is both simple and economical to operate.
