阎连科小说与圣经存在着密切关系。他的成功之处在于其形式和语言对圣经的使用,这种使用赋予小说以广阔的意义空间。就精神层面而言,由于缺乏圣经文化传统,对圣经教义的运用又浅尝辄止,以致影响到作品精神层面上与圣经的呼应和对接。尽管不能完全从圣经角度衡量其小说价值,但作家若能在此层面有所突破,小说的苦难世界将会得到进一步升华,以致新的意义向度得以增添。
There is a close relationship between Yan Lianke’s novels and the Bible. His success lies in the use of the Bible in its form and language, which gives the novel a vast space of meaning. On the spiritual level, due to the lack of biblical cultural traditions, the application of Bible doctrine is so perplexing that it affects the echoes and connections with the Bible in the spirit of the works. Although the value of novels can not be completely measured from the perspective of the Bible, if the writer can make a breakthrough at this level, the suffering world of the novel will be further sublimated so that the new meaning can be expanded.
