角膜异物可引起不同程度的角膜损伤,给病人造成很大痛苦.对于成人角膜异物,检查时容易发现并得到及时治疗;在幼儿往往因检查不合作,不能及时发现而贻误治疗。我们遇到一例幼儿角膜异物(稻谷皮)存留,被误诊为泡疹性角膜结膜炎,以致二个月后才发现并取出异物,今报告如下:患儿李××,女,3岁,1977年11月3日就诊。其母说:患儿在二个月前曾在打谷场上玩耍,晚上发现患儿哭叫,右眼内有“砂子”,疼痛、睁不开眼、眼睑红肿、畏光、流泪。次日在当地卫生所检查,因小儿哭闹不合作,未发现角膜异物,按“红眼”治疗.点氯霉素眼药水和四环素可的松眼药膏,治疗10多日,不见好转.又到×医
