My first publication of “Journal of Olympic Culture” has two purposes, one is academic, the other is practical. We believe that the study of Olympic culture in China is indeed a very important undertaking, though not many people pay attention to this. Relying on only a few unwilling people can not do anything, but can not help but make every effort, at least to provide some material or a little bit of interest. Ms. Fan Hong translates Gu Beitan’s speech report without any difficulty. We know that Gu is a man who lives in the beginning of this century in the last century and whose texts are esoteric. The Gu Bitan anthology has not been translated so far, which is not unrelated to this point. However, it is not enough to study the Olympics without reading Gu’s words. We publish this paper and make some comments. We hope that the translation community, especially those engaged in sports translation, should collaborate with sports theory workers and publish the press as soon as possible. Here also thanks to Dr. Zhang Zhichang, Department of Philosophy, Nanjing University proofreading the translation in his busy schedule. In this section we also publish the words of Dr. Ren Hai, who just returned from studying in Canada, studying the Olympic Games. Afterwards, Ren Haijun will continue to publish the third of my books for me.
