香根草又叫岩兰草,为禾本科香根草属的一种多年生草本植物,主要分布在印度、斯里兰卡、缅甸、印度尼西亚、斐济和巴西等热带和亚热带地区,我国自1989年引种以来,发展迅速。目前,种植区域已涵盖江西、福建、湖南、浙江、四川、海南和贵州等省市。为配合水利部、农业都推广应用香根草的计划,本文试就香根草的生物学特性、用途以及种植技术作一概要介绍。
