四子王旗国税局担负着全旗23个乡镇、苏木、场(区)的国税征管任务,年税收不足1000万元,是一个农牧型基层征收局。局党组成员带领全局50多名税务干部,从学习抓起,不断提高队伍素质,鼓励职工积极参加各类教育活动。从1999年到现在,全局50%以上的干部通过了强化培训和继续教育。有12名协税员通过考试转为正式工,转正人数名列乌盟国税系统第一名。2003年在全盟业务能手考试中,四子王旗国税局又取得了个人第一名的好成绩,使干部的业务素质明显提高。四子王旗以小企业和个体户为主,征管难度大,所辖范围广。面对这一情况,局领导亲自带队,征管人员分片负责,清查漏征漏管户,连续3年提前超额完成任务。目前,四子王旗国税局正以党的十六大精神为指针,与时俱进,开拓创新,不断培植新的税源增长
