世界第一条最长上等级沙漠公路贯通9月4日,世界第一条最长上等级沙漠公路——轮台至民丰段519公里的塔中公路全线贯通。9月20日将举行隆重的竣工剪彩仪式。塔克拉玛干沙漠是世界第二大沙漠,在流动沙漠里修筑这样长且上等级的公路,这在世界上是独一无二的。这条公路把宽广无垠的塔克拉玛干沙漠一分为二,使和田市至乌鲁木齐的路程由原来的2000公里缩短到1500公里。和田人民亲切地称之为“和田幸福路”。这条公路采用沥青混凝土路面和专门的芦苇网格防沙措施,适应流动沙漠的特点,显得平整、稳固而美观大方。
The world’s first longest upper grade desert road runs through the Tazhong Highway, the world’s first longest upper grade desert highway, which is 519 kilometers from Luntai to Minfeng Section. The people of Hotan affectionately called “Wada Happiness Road”. This highway uses bituminous concrete pavement and special reed grids to prevent desertification. It adapts to the characteristics of mobile deserts and is flat, stable, and beautiful.
