中国网通同北电网络签订了重要合同,由北电网络为其部署全国性光传输骨干网,从而进一步巩固了北电网络在为中国提供高性能光网络方面的领导地位。这份合同包括提供并安装两个全新的长途光传输骨干网,这些网络具备北电网络业界领先的光网络速度、可靠性及容量。此合同还将使中国网通成为首家部署北电网络OPTeraConnectHDX光交换机的中国公司。 这两条光环路之中的一条跨越5,000kM,将覆盖中国的东南部地区,并将上海、南京、合肥、武汉、长沙、广州、福州及杭州这几座发达城市相链接。另一条光环路将上海、南京、武汉、信阳、济南及青岛等东部城市连接起来,并与中国网通目前在华北的光骨干网相集成。即将在北京、上海、广州和武汉部署的北电网络OPTeraConnectHDX交换
China Netcom signed an important contract with Nortel Networks for deployment of its national optical transport backbone network by Nortel Networks, further consolidating Nortel Networks leadership in providing China with high-performance optical networks. The contract includes the provision and installation of two new long-haul optical transport backbones that provide Nortel Networks industry-leading optical network speed, reliability and capacity. The contract will also make China Netcom the first Chinese company to deploy Nortel Networks OPTeraConnect HDX optical switches. One of these two auroral circuits spans 5,000 kM and will cover the southeastern part of China and link up with developed cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhan, Changsha, Guangzhou, Fuzhou and Hangzhou. Another metropolitan ring connects Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Xinyang, Jinan and Qingdao with their eastern cities and integrates with China Netcom’s existing optical backbone network in northern China.
