王船山提出德教要遵循“性教一贯”的原则和“循情”、“顺性”的方法,其继承并发展了儒家的义利观,强调重义轻利。王船山指出以德治国的重点要放在培养官德上,要使官吏从内心明志而不受“物之浊”。
