我们现在图书出版质量下降的问题还是没有得到明显的好转。这是一个亟待解决的问题。 问题的症结在哪里呢?就是一个“钱”字。 钱,它能成事,也能坏事;它能帮人,也能害人。它每时每刻都在影响着我们。它对我们的诱惑、牵制、困扰是很大的。它牵动着我们每个出版者的心。 有的出版单位经济上比较紧张,入不敷出,为形势所逼,不得不多想办法,多赚钱,不然就难以为继,就办不成事。有的领导同志说心里话:“少出几本好书,我并不感到压力,利润上不去,经济状况不好,我就坐卧不安。”所以他们嘴上讲社会效益第一,质量第一,实际上还是自觉或不自觉地把经济效益、把赚钱放在第一位。
