中国新具象雕塑作为当代雕塑的重要组成部分,在20世纪90年代中期发生了深刻的变化,同时也对一些当代艺术家产生极其深远影响,艺术家利用在自身形态的界定、语言方式的突破、材料观念的更新等诸多方面的转型,使雕塑形态产生意想不到的变化,但同时也加入了艺术家自己的思想情感、生活经历,宗教信仰、文化修养等方面的主观想法,从而形成艺术的雕塑形式,不断服务于变化发展的社会,也不断服务于人类的精神需求。
