元好问是金元之际杰出的诗人。他的诗论在我国古代诗歌理论发展史上，也有着相当重要的地位。他的诗论虽以风雅的温柔敦厚为主，但也不能不受时代的影响，使他在温柔敦厚之外，提出了新的命题，强调了慷慨激越的风格，显示了不同于传统诗论的特色。元好问的诗论，主要见于《论诗三十首》，但古今研究者对其中的一些诗句，多有歧议，众说纷纭，对此应作出较为符合实际的解释，以求得全面正确理解元好问的诗论。
