20世纪上半叶,我国的艺术文化学研究从最初的酝酿积累,经滕固、邓以蛰等学者的稳步推进,终于在20世纪三、四十年代步入第一个发展高峰,当时的大批艺术论著都对艺术的文化特质、艺术与文化的辩证关系展开自觉的理论探讨,而方东美、宗白华等学者从文化哲学的高度对艺术文化的结构和历史类型的思考更是呈现出艺术文化学在那个时期的别样风景。本文将通过系统的回顾和梳理,揭示艺术文化学在我国20世纪上半叶的历史演进历程和学科发展规律,总结前人所取得的研究成果,以期对当前艺术学学科体系的建设有所裨益。
