中国学生在课堂上的“沉默”一直以来都是老师们,尤其是英语老师们感到头疼的事。如何提高课堂参与性已经得到了众多教师的关注。本文试图从中国学生的课堂自尊的角度来发现问题。基于前人所做的研究,本文通过定性与定量的方法对非英语专业的大学生在英语课堂上的自尊状况与他们在英语课堂上的参与情况进行了调查。结果表明中国学生的课堂自尊与其课堂参与情况呈正相关,即中国学生的课堂参与性较低这一现象与他们的课堂自尊偏低有紧密关系。
Chinese students in the classroom “silence ” has always been a teacher, especially English teachers feel a headache. How to improve classroom participation has attracted the attention of many teachers. This article attempts to discover the problem from the perspective of Chinese students’ self-esteem in the classroom. Based on the researches made by predecessors, this paper investigates the self-esteem of non-English majors in English class and their participation in English class through qualitative and quantitative methods. The results show that Chinese students’ self-esteem in the classroom is positively related to their classroom participation, that is, the low participation of Chinese students in the classroom is closely related to their low self-esteem in the classroom.
