柴胡为伞形种植物狭叶柴胡的干燥根或全草,含挥发油、皂甙、脂肪油、柴胡醇、芸香甙等。由于柴胡挥发油注射液退热疗效确实。作用平稳,降温后无回升现象,并且制作工艺简便,故广为采用,有条件的医院药房均能制备。但是,就现在一般采用的工艺来说,在制作柴胡注射液时只提取了挥发油,药渣连同其煎出液均弃去不用。实际上,煎出液中所含的皂甙、柴胡醇、芸香甙等也有临床使用价值,如柴胡皂甙即有镇静、镇咳、止痛、解热等作用。
Bupleurum chinense is a dry root or whole plant of Bupleurum chinense, an umbrella plant species, containing volatile oil, saponin, fatty oil, bupleurum, and musk berry. Due to the curative effect of Bupleurum volatile oil injection, it is indeed effective. The function is stable, there is no recovery after cooling, and the production process is simple. Therefore, it is widely used and can be prepared in any hospital pharmacy. However, for the currently used process, only the essential oil is extracted during the production of Bupleurum injection, and the dregs are discarded together with the decoction. In fact, the saponins, bupropion, and musk cinnamomum contained in the decoction liquid also have clinical application value, such as saikosaponin which has sedative, antitussive, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.
