改革开放以来,特别是近几年来,在党中央和省委的领导下,我省各级党组织和广大干部、群众积极贯彻执行党的十一届三中全会以来的路线、方针、政策,坚持“一个中心,两个基本点”,坚持两个文明建设一起抓的方针,不仅物质文明建设取得了举世瞩目的伟大成就,而且精神文明建设也获得了巨大的发展。1991年,全省社会总产值、工农业总产值、国内生产总值、国民收入和财政收入分别是1978年的6.4倍、6.9倍、4.7倍、4.4倍和4.5倍,达到3890亿元、3079亿元、1781亿元、1380亿元和177亿元。
