Many observations suggest that coronary artery spasm is a localized phenomenon of vascular smooth muscle and is often associated with coronary atherosclerosis. Some patients are also combined with Raynaud’s phenomenon and cyclical migraine, suggesting that coronary artery spasm is a manifestation of systemic vascular smooth muscle contraction syndrome
