In the fields of basic physical measurement, environmental monitoring, new material production and the like, there is an increasing demand for the measurement of the emissivity lower than 0.005 cm-2 · h-1. The traditional low background measurement instruments such as semiconductor detectors, proportional counters, screen ionization chamber, etc., due to cosmic rays, their own α background and other factors, it is difficult to meet the above measurement requirements. This work developed a new type of large area α ionization chamber, shown in Figure 1. Sensitive volume of the ionization chamber is an ideal cylinder, the sample placed in the ionization chamber cathode, the anode and the protection of the pole to collect signals. After filling 1 atmosphere of high purity nitrogen, the α
