在开式模锻过程中,沿锻件分模面必须具有一定形状和尺寸的毛边,以形成必要的阻力迫使金属充满模腔,获得清晰的锻件。在充满型腔后的锻足阶段,多余的毛坯金属继续流入毛边槽,使锻件达到所需的高度。
