The following is a study of the formability and wear resistance of block gauges made of various materials, their use and measurement characteristics are compared, and the possibility of making block gauges using tungsten-free cemented carbide is evaluated. Table 1 lists the nominal sizes of blocks and some characteristics of the materials used to make them. All kinds of steel were the same emblem of the same organization: martensite δ 1 + carbides + retained austenite; carbide heterogeneity δ_3. All cemented carbides are fine-grained (basic grain size 0.8-1.2 μm, porosity ≥ 0.2%). As can be seen from the table, tool steel hardness, density, linear coefficient of thermal expansion and chemical composition of little difference. Similar conclusions can be drawn on tungsten-cobalt-based cemented carbides.
