据第五届中国留学人员广州科技交流会组委会透露,目前中国有40多万海外留学人员,大部分获得硕士和博士学位,其中很多人在科技、金融、管理等各领域掌握了先进的技术。伴随西部大开发的浪潮,随着中国加入WTO和经济高速发展,海外留学归国人员(简称“海归”)回国创业不断升温。中国目前已经成立60多家留学人员创业园,14万留学人员已经回国创业服务,创办企业近4000家,去年总产值超过100亿元人民币。留学人员带回来的,远远不只是若干具体项目和高新技术。
