The concept of maximum oxygen uptake has been paid much attention by many researchers since its introduction in the 1920s. It is defined as the maximum amount of oxygen that can be taken per unit of time, min, in the event of exhaustive exercise with a large number of muscle groups, where the reserve capacity of the oxygen transport system has been mobilized to the highest level . It is significantly associated with aerobic endurance capacity. Therefore, it has long been regarded as the best indicator of aerobic endurance performance. In recent years, Costill and Davis have come up with different opinions through research. Costill pointed out in 1970 that two athletes who performed at the same rate with the same maximum oxygen uptake showed that running at the maximum oxygen uptake rate
