【目的】探索我国英文科技期刊如何更好地利用Web of Science(WoS)数据库平台做好期刊的学术影响力指标跟踪及国际化程度评估。【方法】以Journal of Bionic Engineering及同领域的竞争期刊为例,探讨运用WoS的自动统计分析功能进行科技期刊学术影响力指标跟踪和期刊国际化程度评估的新方法。【结果】利用WoS的自动统计分析功能可以快速、准确地做好科技期刊的学术影响力指标跟踪及期刊国际化程度评估,帮助期刊编辑部查找不足,从而适时地调整办刊策略。【结论】高效运用WoS等网络新兴工具可以更好地为我国科技期刊的国际化助力。
【Objective】 To explore how to make better use of the Web of Science (WoS) database platform in English scientific journals of our country to track and assess the academic influence of journals. [Methods] Taking Journal of Bionic Engineering and competitive journals in the same field as an example, this paper explores a new method of using WoS automatic statistical analysis function to track the index of academic influence of scientific journals and assess the internationalization of journals. [Results] The automatic statistical analysis function of WoS can quickly and accurately track the academic influence index of sci-tech periodicals and assess the internationalization degree of the periodicals, and help the periodical editorial department to find the deficiencies so as to timely adjust the strategy of running the periodicals. 【Conclusion】 The efficient use of new tools such as WoS can better serve the internationalization of Chinese sci-tech periodicals.
