淮河流域的农作物布局,大体是以淮河为界,北为旱作区,南为水稻区。水稻的播种面积近年在三千五百万亩左右,虽然其面积只占全流域种植面积二亿八千五百万亩(已计入复种指数)的八分之一,但水稻产量约占全流域粮食产量的四分之一。由于水稻是耗水量最多的一种粮食作物,故其灌溉用水量在全流域的总水量中占有很大比重,是水资源工程规划设计和运行管理中的重要数据之一。所以,重点分析流域的水稻灌溉用水量是十分必要的。自1983年1月至1984年12月,淮委规划院与合肥工业大学水利系共同对《淮河流域水稻需水量与灌溉用水量分析》项目进行了研究,并于
Crop layout in the Huaihe River Basin is generally bounded by the Huaihe River, north to arid area, and south to a rice area. The sown area of rice has been around 35 million mu in recent years. Although its area accounts for only one eighth of the total area of 285 million mu of the entire basin (which has been included in the multiple cropping index), the output of rice accounts for about One-fourth of grain production in the basin. Because rice is the most water-intensive food crop, its irrigation water accounts for a large proportion of the total water in the whole basin and is one of the important data in the planning, design, operation and management of water resources projects. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the water consumption of paddy in the basin.
