There are many “ambiguities” in the irrigation process. The so-called ambiguity refers to the “ambiguity” of the difference of objective things, such as deep and shallow, shallow and wet, wet and dry, the boundary is not clear or the degree of intermediate transition is not easy to quantitatively. Modern rice high yielding cultivation of water management requirements of deep, wet, dry and flexible regulation, but what is deep, shallow, wet and dry? These are fuzzy concepts. The “three-look” pipe water experience is a vague thing that can not be described by exact mathematics. In 1965, American automatic control expert Prof. L.A. Zadeh proposed the concept of “membership function” to describe the different intermediate transitions and gave birth to fuzzy mathematics. The practice of the past 20 years has proved that this discipline has been rapidly developed. It has strong vitality and penetration. Ambiguity was once considered the exact opposite, but accuracy now approaches ambiguity, and fuzziness has been accepted as a basic truth.
