南极上空的“时间之门”几年前,美英两国在南极洲进行科学考察的科学家们终于有了惊人发现。1995年1月27日,美国物理学家马瑞安·麦克林和同事们正在观察南极洲上空-些不断旋转的灰白色烟雾。最初,他们认为这只是普通的沙尘暴。但是这些灰白色的烟雾并没有随着时间的进程而改变形状,也没有移动。研究人员决定认真研究这种现象。他们发射了一个气象气球,气球上装备了测定风速、温度和大气湿度的仪器。然而,-经发射,这个气球就急速地上升,很快就消失了。
“The Door of Time” Over Antarctica A few years ago, scientists from the United States and Britain conducted scientific investigations in Antarctica finally made astonishing discoveries. On January 27, 1995, American physicist Marian Macklin and his colleagues were observing some of the ever-changing gray smoke over Antarctica. Initially, they thought it was just an ordinary sandstorm. But these gray fumes did not change shape or move over time. Researchers decided to seriously study this phenomenon. They fired a weather balloon equipped with instruments to measure wind speed, temperature and atmospheric humidity. However, after its launch, the balloon rose rapidly and disappeared very quickly.
