衡阳拖拉机厂是国家大型农机骨干企业、国家二级企业、国家机电产品出口扩权企业和国家技术改造重点投资企业之一。通过“七五”和“八五”重点技术改造,工厂已成为中国南方农机、工程机械产品生产重要基地。 工厂占地面积325673平方米,建筑面积190000平方米,生产区面积16000平方米,出产区建筑面积74030平方米,现有固定资产10000万元,职工2800人,专业技术人员(?)0人,工程技术人员173人。工厂拥有国内同行业第一流的技术和装备,具有铸造、锻压、机械加工、冲焊、油漆、热处理、装配、工具、机修和能源自动或半自动生产线,引进了四台机械加工中心和一台数控火焰切割机。 工厂生产的主要产品有:手扶拖拉机系列产品、农用运输车系列产品、叉车及中小工程机械产品、18—30马力轮式拖拉机系列产品。
