1994年3月19日,64岁的中华人民共和国地质矿产 部部长朱训在全国政协八届二次盛会期间,被补选 为全国政协秘书长。 在灯火辉煌的人民大会堂,朱训在接受记者采访时说:“1952年我踏进地质工作大门,一干就是42年。这次中央让我到政协工作,我心潮起伏、思绪万千。地矿工作是我深深热爱的事业,对地矿事业和地矿职工,我有着无限眷恋之情……。”
On March 19, 1994, Zhu Xun, 64-year-old Minister of Geology and Mineral Resources of the People’s Republic of China, was elected as the secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee during the second grand meeting of the Eighth CPPCC National Committee. In the glittering Great Hall of the People, Zhu Xun said in an interview with reporters: “I stepped into the gate of geological work in 1952 and did it for 42 years. This time, the Central Government sent me to work in the CPPCC. I had ups and downs and lots of thoughts. Mine work is my deep love for the cause of the mine and mine workers and mine workers, I have infinite love ... ... ”
