In recent years, the submarine hot springs discovered by people in the mid-ocean ridge are one of the most important developments in ocean exploration. Scientists already know that the longest and largest mountain range in the world is not on land but in the ocean floor. The ridge is the mid-ocean ridge (or central ridge) stretching 65,000 kilometers across the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. Scientists made some study on the Mid-Ocean Ridge, and in the 1960s put forward the famous theory of “Sea-floor expansion.” This theory holds that the seabed is the axis of the mid-ocean ridge
