The postmodernist sculptures, environmental arts and the earth art (represented by Cristo) are both important phenomena of western contemporary art. They essentially belong to the continuation and development of the western modernist artistic trends and their artistic concepts and forms On the one hand, it inherits the tradition of Dadaism and Pop Art, challenges universally accepted values, has a strong anti-art feature, and on the other hand reflects the impact of contemporary industrial society on people’s lifestyles Profoundly changed the relationship between man and art, liberated the artwork from the original way of space possession, and became one of the hallmarks of contemporary Western culture. For readers to understand this situation, we have specially organized three translations for reference.
