一九五一年九月生于陕西周至,号逢庵,现为陕西省文史研究馆馆员,西安市书法家协会副主席,中国书法家协会会员。入室师事于迟斋刘自椟先生二十年,在金石考据、书画鉴赏、古文字学及经史文哲方面致力尤深,已在文史类及书法刊物上发表论文多篇。书法创作以秦石鼓文为基,对甲骨金文、简牍帛书,镜铭瓦文及汉唐以后的诸家流派广撷博采,取精用宏,从而使作品结体严谨而传神,通篇磅礴而典雅,形成了劲健凝重、淳厚郁勃、古拙雄深的风貌。书法作品曾参展“自贡恐龙灯会国际书法展”、“全国第五届书法篆刻展”、“全国第三、四、五届中青年书法篆刻展”、“全国首届中国书协会员优秀作品展”、中央统战部主办的“统一战线纪念中国共产党成立八十周年书画展”、“歌颂改革开放二十年全国书法邀请展”、“迎接‘十六大’全国书法名家作品邀请展”、中国书协主办的“纪念毛泽东诞辰110周年全国书法名家作品邀请展”等大型展览;入编于《二十世纪中国书法家名家楹联墨迹大观》和《中国书法名家作品集》等专集中;被北京人民大会堂、中国军事博物馆、甘肃省博物馆、陕西省美术博物馆、西安碑林博物馆、香港凤凰卫视、云南文史馆等十余家大型博物馆及单位收藏,为陕西师范大学、西安交通大学等高校所刻石。多次举办个人书法作品展并出版有《历代诗人咏桥书法选》,《柳阴山房墨影集》。《中国艺术界名人录》、《中国历代书法家大辞典》等二十余部大型辞书中有著录。被《二十世纪陕西书法简史·书家篇》专题评介为当代篆书中的杰出代表。
