“虹桥案”尘埃早已落定,对于普通民众来说,由此而引发的质量和腐败问题也许热点不再热、焦点不再焦。但对于公路建设者而言,这个沉重的话题,伴随着历史的回声和现实的呐喊,却是历久弥新,越来越沉重。痛定思痛,我们有责任、有义务从有关工程质量的方方面面去分析研究确保工程质量、防止腐败现象的有效措施。如果说1998年的中国公路蒙上了质量事故的阴影,那么1999年后的中国公路将肩负起历史赋予的使命,举起法律的尚方宝剑,穿透权势的乌云,刺破人情网束缚,使公路事业如穿云而过的太阳,蒸蒸日上。

But for highway builders, this heavy topic, accompanied by the echoes of history and the cry of reality, is everlasting and heavier and heavier. If the shadow of a quality accident was cast on China’s roads in 1998, then China’s roads after 1999 will shoulder the mission entrusted by history, lift the sword of law, penetrate the powerful dark clouds and pierce the bondage of the Internet Highway business such as the sun through the clouds, thriving.
