本文分析了世界小麦发展动向所提供的信息及其在我国麦区的表现,从而提出了在小麦生产决策中应首先考虑的问题,作者根据我省煤炭工业的发展、城镇人口增加的需要、改善食品结构的要求以及有利于发展商品生产等方面,论述了小麦在山西农业生产商品化中的地位,提出了每年必须以5.45%的增长率向前发展,到本世纪末才能达到年产102亿斤的目标。作者认为山西小麦生产的潜力为:(1)目前产量水平位於高速发展的阈值之内;(2)较稳定的500毫米降雨是小麦生产的基本保证;(3)物质技术投资的潜力可以增产30%以上。文中还提出了发展小麦分区布局及各区主要措施的意见。
