2013年7月10日,时任武警西藏总队司令员的郭毅力,因突发心肌梗塞倒在出差途中,告别了忠诚守卫38年的雪域高原。他始终把党和军队建设事业作为人生的崇高理想和最高追求,带出了一支能打胜仗的队伍。他坚持战斗在反分裂斗争的最前沿,为西藏发展稳定做出了重要贡献。他坚持党的群众路线,真心实意为群众谋利益,为西藏各族群众送去党的温暖。“为了国家和人民的安宁,我不惜牺牲自己的一切。”郭毅力以56岁的生命,践行了自己写在入党申请书中的誓言。
