我想在此回答这样一个问题:即理想的教师应当具备哪些个人品质。也许没有两个人会得出同样的结论,但下面这几条我想一般是公认的。第一,教师的个性应是活泼愉快,引人注意的。这并不排除外貌一般,甚至难看的人,因为他们中有不少人的性格还是很可爱的。但是确实要排除这样一类人:过分激动、忧郁消沉、冷漠无情、饥讽挖苦、玩世不恭、心灰意懒以及蛮横无理的人。第二,要有名副其实的同情心。这对教师来说,不仅是必需的,而且是基本的品质。按照字面上的理解,同情心是指善于了解别人的思想和感情。因为大多数教师都是中小学教师,所以特别需要了解儿童的思想
I would like to answer one question here: what personal qualities an ideal teacher should have. Perhaps not two people will reach the same conclusion, but the following few I think generally recognized. First, the teacher’s personality should be lively and pleasant and noticeable. This does not rule out the appearance of ordinary, or even ugly people, because many of them are still very cute character. But we do want to rule out people who are overly excited, depressed, indifferent, hungry, cynical, disheartened and unreasonable. Second, there must be genuine compassion.
