东北人民政府教育部根据东北区中等教育发展的需要与贯澈提高教育质量的方针,自一九四九年起即已组织了大批人员,进行中学教科书的编译工作。从一九五○年春季开学至现在,东北区全部普通中学,师范学校及工农速成中学,均已采用了植物、动物、算术、代数、平面几何、物理、化学等七种新教科书。另外,初级中学之自然地理,世界地理及高级中学之代数、立体几何、人体解剖及生理学、物理、化学、世界经济地理等新教科书,亦将于今年春季起开始采用。
According to the principle of developing secondary education in Northeast China and improving education quality, Northeast People’s Government Ministry of Education has organized a large number of personnel since 1949 to compile textbooks for secondary schools. From the spring of 1950 to the present, all seventeen general textbooks in the northeast area, including normal schools, normal schools and worker-peasant high school, have adopted seven new textbooks on plants, animals, arithmetic, algebra, plane geometry, physics and chemistry. In addition, new textbooks on geography, world geography and high school algebra, three-dimensional geometry, human anatomy and physiology, physics, chemistry, and world economic geography of junior high schools will also be implemented beginning this spring.
