Hemodilution is known to increase cerebral blood flow, but the mechanism of action has not been elucidated. This article aims to determine whether the increase in cerebral blood flow is due to the direct effect of reduced blood viscosity or to the compensatory vasodilation of hypoxia caused by hemodilution. The authors selected 15 rabbits as normal brain experimental group (non-ischemic group) and 18 as ischemic experimental group (ischemic group). The two groups were divided into three subgroups: control, hemodilution (diluted subgroup), and hypoxic hypoxia (hypoxic subgroup).
