1997年8月28日,863-317主题专家组通过了由邮电部武汉邮电科学研究院承担的“863”项目“SDH10 Gbit/s 时分复用系统总体方案研究”的验收。这个总体实现方案达到了“863”合同的要求,并提前半年完成,为下一步开发工作打下了坚实的基础。这是第一个完成的九五计划“863”项目。该项目成果是一个掌握大容量光纤传输实用化技术,确立论证了完整的符合国家相关标准和 ITU-T 相关建议的可实施的 SDH 10 Gbit/s 时分复用光纤传输系统总体实现方案。这个实现方案主要解决已敷设的常规光纤(G.652)传输10 Gbit/s 信号达200 km 时色散影响的问题,并研究在线光纤放大器和再生中继机及其网管功能,此外,也研究了系统的指标和测试方法。系统的实现方案是按照生产的要求来论证、来研究,它面向市场,并在研究过程中,从理论、技术、原材料、工艺、生产、建设、维护、管理等不同角度,都以成果能立即转化为生产力为目标,因此,一旦这个总体实现方案得以实施,则经现场实验证实其实用水平后,能立即转产完成产业化。
