免疫学的基础理论研究已经占有引人注目的地位,临床方面诸如移植免疫及肿瘤免疫等也取得很大的成绩。但作为免疫学本来的出发点,对外界侵袭或者更明白地说对感染的自身防御问题还没很好地研究,既使作了点工作也只不过是像重症联合免疫缺陷病、Bruton 氏病及 Digeorge 综合征等先天性免疫缺陷所造成的感染。然而成为近年来一个专题的是,发生于重症患者的后天性急性免疫功能不全,特别是收容到监护病房的重症患者中的急性免疫功能不全以及因之导致的感染性疾病,尤其是所谓的机遇性传染问题。
