Emily Floyd is famous for its text-based modern-day sculptures. The exhibition, an investigative exhibition, features the artist’s extraordinary work since his 15-year career, including her early sculptures and several new works commissioned by the show. The sculptures and installations on display are bold and colorful. In this exhibition, Freud created sculptures mainly based on playful shapes, colors and texts in order to attract visitors and arouse their discussion of cultural, social and political thoughts. The exhibition is named after “Dawn” for the purpose of presenting to a woman poet, women’s political rights activist and aggressive woman who founded the Australian women’s magazine in 1888, and Henry Lawson
