大学生的英语翻译能力一直被忽视。随着社会对这方面人才的需求,学生的翻译能力越来越受到高等院校和社会的重视。因此,教师有责任在教学中提高学生的翻译能力。本文首先介绍了翻译的内涵,标准和目的。学生了解了翻译的基本概念之后,教师向学生系统地讲授翻译理论知识,将学生引入翻译的世界。接着,学生进行各项翻译练习,师生对之评估。在这样的教学中,教师要总结经验和方法,摸索出行之有效的翻译教学模式。
College students’ ability to translate English has been neglected. With the social demand for talents in this area, students’ translation ability is getting more and more attention from colleges and universities and the society. Therefore, teachers have the responsibility to improve their translating skills in teaching. This article first introduces the connotation, standard and purpose of translation. After students understand the basic concepts of translation, teachers systematically teach students translation theory and introduce students into the world of translation. Then, students conduct various translation exercises, assessment of teachers and students. In such teaching, teachers should sum up experiences and methods to explore effective translation teaching mode.
