明清两代540年间,海河流域共发生361次水灾,377次旱灾,往往灾害连年,一年之中,或先旱后涝,或涝后又旱。洪水往往在几条河上同时发生,或洪水受海潮顶托,灾情更为严重。近300多年来的各次特大洪水,受灾区域均超过100个县,淹没耕地高的达6000万亩。
During the 540 years of the Ming and Qing dynasties, a total of 361 floods and 377 droughts occurred in the Haihe River Basin. Often, the calamities occurred year after year, during the year, or after the drought and waterlogging or after the flood. Floods often occur on several rivers at the same time, or floods by the top of the tide, the disaster is even more serious. In the past 300 years, all the major floods hit over 100 counties in the disaster-hit areas, with arable land of 60 million mu flooded.
