In order to study the active ingredients that inhibited lipid synthesis in Coptis chinensis, various components in Coptidis Rhizoma extract were prepared by column chromatography and the effects on lipid synthesis in the auricle of hamsters were explored. The acidic, neutral components, alkaloid components mainly composed of berberine and alkaloids without berberine were isolated from the powder of Coptis chinensis extract with weakly acidic ion exchange resin and silica gel.
