近代中国历史上,鸦片烟毒犹如吸血的幽灵紧紧吸附在中华民族的躯体上,满清王朝和历届政府都曾试图根治它,多次发布过禁烟的法令,然而烟毒屡禁不止,甚至愈演愈烈。
In modern China’s history, opium-based narcotics was like a blood-sucking ghost clinging to the body of the Chinese nation. Both the Manchu dynasty and successive governments tried to cure it. Several times it issued a ban on smoking. However, drug abuse was repeatedly banned and even intensified.
