Breeding density is one of the key factors that can not be ignored in aquaculture, which can directly affect the breeding survival rate, growth performance, swimming behavior, health status, water quality, feeding situation and farmed yield. Higher aquaculture density leads to deterioration of water quality, overcrowding and unfavorable colony effects, which will cause a series of stress reactions and finally affect the breeding effect. As a new breed of silver pomfret, there are no reports about its breeding biology at home. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of stocking density on the growth of juvenile Pampus argenteus (5.33 ± 0.07) g, the content of glycogen and lactic acid and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) Effect of Glycopeptide Peroxidase (GSH-PX) Activity. In this experiment, 4 stocking densities were set, which were 5, 10, 15, 25 tail, m-3, which were successively classified as D1, D2, D3 and D4, with a test period of 60 days. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the growth of silver pomfret and the stocking density in the density range of less than 15 mm-3 (D3), but the growth rate of silver pomfret in the D4 group was significantly lower than that of the D3 group. There was no significant difference between the index of hepatic body and the survival rate. With the increase of breeding density, the content of glycogen in muscle and liver decreased significantly, but the content of lactate in muscle did not change significantly. Within the density range of D1 to D3 , But there was no significant effect of stocking density on SOD and CAT activity in muscle and liver. However, SOD activity in D4 group was significantly lower than that in D2 and D3 group, and CAT activity in D4 group was lower than that in D3 group. However, Density had no significant effect on muscle CAT activity and GSH-PX activity in tissues. During the test period, the density range of the test set up in this experiment did not produce obvious adverse stress response to silver pomfret.
