Why not put some picture or words on your white T-shirt? Bill Hofmann的这篇文章聚焦美国汽车上的bumper sticker(即粘贴在汽车保险杠上的作宣传和广告用的小标语)。
In the early 1980s, the author once worked as an interpreter in Hangzhou and had frequent contacts with American tourists. I remember that at the time, I was wearing a white T-shirt and the American tourists were very puzzled to ask: Why not put some pictures or words on your white T-shirt? In the 90s of the last century, a variety of cultural shirts, Advertising shirts have been flooded for a while. Bill Hofmann’s article focuses on the bumper sticker on US cars (the small slogans used for advertising and advertising on car bumpers). In a broad sense, this bumper sticker is also a culture that reflects the personality and hobbies of the United States. We can’t say that Americans are good at showing themselves, but one thing is certain. Americans’ Individualism is clearly slightly better than Chinese.
